BNI Weekly Recap: October 11th, 2019

By: Bethesda Business BNI  |  Posted: October 11, 2019

Hello BNI Team,

We had another great week last week with lots of energy and some new and familiar faces joining us.

Announcements:

The chapter growth committee has been working with the leadership team to plan some visitor days for this period. Right now we are looking at December 13th for our next visitor day. We'll have more information as plans progress, so start getting the word out to anyone you think would be a good addition.

If you hadn't noticed, I'm trying to live stream our weekly presentations to get some more eyeballs on our chapter and our featured presenters. Like our Facebook Page and LinkedIn page to keep up to date with chapter information and to help promote the group.

Go back and re-read Guy's request to invite a customer, vendor, or another interested party to visit our chapter this week. It was easy to attract new members when we were the largest chapter in the region, now we have to work for it!

Attendance:

We were "thiiiis close" to a full house this week. We had a couple of subs and one visitor all the way from Arizona!

A few friendly reminders:

  • When inviting guests and subs please keep category conflicts in mind and make your subs aware of any potential conflicts. We have had a few awkward incidents recently that we'd like to avoid. A special "thank you" to Ilya who, although a conflict, didn't promote his business.
  • We all love our friends and subs that help us out on a consistent basis, but we love new faces even more. When planning your subs, try to ask clients, colleagues, or other people who we don't know already to join us.

Absent:

  • Eve Hurwitz: Stupid tax seasons getting in the way of networking! We look forward to seeing you this week.

Visitors:

Subs:

  • For Andy Stern // Danny Benjamin
  • For Tracey Noble // Bob Blair
  • For Marc Bruno // Ilya Sergeyko

Presenters:

Our featured presenters last week were Christian Zamora and Steve Lorberbaum. They shared lots of great information and some amusing stories about their businesses. Please keep them in mind when meeting with clients, friends, family and while networking.

This week we have Frank Milota, introduced by Chris Zamora and Dennis Elliott, introduced by Steve Lorberbaum.
