BNI Weekly Recap: November 22nd, 2019

By: Bethesda Business BNI  |  Posted: November 22, 2019

Hello BNI Team,
We had another great meeting last Friday. The room was full and, judging from everyone's 30-second presentations, it seems like lots of people will be doing business around the Thanksgiving table this week. 

Name Badges:

If you don't have a name badge, please let Brooke know THIS WEEK so we can have Dawn make and deliver them at our Holiday Party on December 3rd.

Our next stack day is on December 13th. We are looking for hairstylists and other personal care professionals. Invite anyone you know in those fields or anyone else who might be a good fit for our chapter. Also, remember to have any visitors register themselves on the BNI website or you can register for them. This helps us know who is coming and prepare accordingly.

December 20th is ugly sweater day. Wear an ugly sweater and everyone will vote for their favorite. The 2 people that have the best (ugliest) win a 50 amazon gif card.

Guy gave us a friendly reminder to please turn in closed business, including former BNI members, and from other groups.

Andy had this networking tip to share: Make sure you give equal time to talking and listening when doing meetings and 1:1s

Goals for the year:Brooke laid out some great goals for our chapter this year. Let's all work toward them.

  • To increase the number of members in the chapter to 40
  • To bring in 65 unique visitors this year.
  • To close $3.5MM in business.

  • None. Let's get on this!

  • For Cheryl Spell // Queanna Walker from Cutco. [email protected] 301-732-1673
  • For Christian Zamora // Lucas
  • For Tracey Noble // Bob Blair

Our featured presenters last week were Eve Hurwitz & Grant Layman. Keep both of these fine people in mind when you are out and about this week.

This week we are not having a meeting, but next week we have Cheryl Spell & Paul Remson presenting.
